Get Glint.

One line downloads the code and builds it on your computer.

Mac

macOS 14.2 or later

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/TeXtUtility/Glint/main/install.sh | bash

Open Terminal and paste the line

It's in Applications, then Utilities. Or press ⌘ Space and type Terminal.

Let it build

It installs Node.js with Homebrew if you don't have it, downloads Glint, builds it and puts it in Applications. If it asks for Apple's command line tools, install them and run the line again.

Allow the microphone and screen recording

macOS asks the first time. The mic is for your side of the call. Screen recording is for the screenshot that goes with a question.

Plug in an AI

Settings, then AI: paste a Claude or OpenAI key, or sign in with Claude Code or Codex if you use them.

Updates are in Settings, under General. To remove Glint, drag it from Applications to the Trash.

Windows

Windows 10 (version 2004) or later, 64-bit

irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/TeXtUtility/Glint/main/install.ps1 | iex

Open PowerShell and paste the line

Press the Windows key, type PowerShell and press Enter. No need to run it as administrator.

Let it build

It installs Node.js with winget if you don't have it, downloads Glint, builds it on your PC and adds it to the Start menu.

Check the microphone is allowed

Glint uses Windows' microphone setting for desktop apps, and opens it for you if it's off. It hears the other side from your PC's sound, so there's nothing else to allow.

Plug in an AI

Settings, then AI: paste a Claude or OpenAI key, or sign in with Claude Code or Codex if you use them. Shortcuts are the Mac's, with Ctrl for ⌘.

Updates are in Settings, under General. To remove Glint, open Settings, then Apps, find Glint and choose Uninstall.

The first build takes a few minutes on either.
